My heartiest congratulations to the Silverglen Civic Association on reaching this significant milestone in the community of Silverglen, as it celebrates its 50th Anniversary. Well done indeed and here’s to the next 50 years of strength, sustainability, success and sincere service delivery to the citizens of Silverglen. As a previous SCA Council member for many years and having served in the office of Mr Edmund Chetty, Mr Brian Nobin and fellow council members, we have had many challenges, trials and tribulations and successes of note with managing many community related concerns dating back to 1988. It was the sheer dedication, commitment, sincerity and passion together with respect and responsible human goodwill that citizens have volunteered to be members of SCA.
The members of the SCA have promoted safety, peace, and good infrastructure with regards to water, electricity and the maintenance of the roads. The SCA have always worked for the wellbeing of all residents in Silverglen.
Councilors in this ward need to ensure attendance at SCA meetings and to engage with their constituents regularly. I once again take this opportunity to congratulate and thank past and present SCA members for their commitment, dedication and their role in uplifting the Silverglen community.
